Design Analysis

The reason I chose to do a Red and white theme was because I wanted to reflect my discourse community I have chosen, YouTube. YouTube has a simple design layout with click bait videos however, I choose not to include videos of Pyro’s YouTube channel based on time constraints, using pictures instead.  The picture on the home page has 2 main implications, the red person in the middle represents the channel leader Pyro and his thousands of subscribers or viewers watching his videos. The red person can also represent the subscriber having many channel leader videos to watch and just the community in general making communication paths to an individual. I decided to use pictures to represent YouTube in general having the search bar at the top and having the search term of Pyropuncher displayed on every page to know that my conversation revolves around him. My audience is focused around young adults who know the larger implications of YouTube and other academic scholars who want to join my conversation about Pyro. The title was simple to create because I used a term rhetoric that most people would not understand without reading Booth and connected that with my discourse community, the quote also reflects community in order for progression to occur.  I decided to keep the three essays Prospective, Retrospective and Prospective separate pages so the viewer could easily find them while the four artifacts are all in their own subheading under more. The red bar was just included to make the content more organized separating the heading from picture or the title from the essay. I decided to use Wix because the format looked the easiest to acquire for me and the design looked the most appealing to my eye. I tried to keep the pages simple by adding just enough photos to keep my audience entertained by the photos relating to the content on the page.
