Artifact Commentary #3

I have learned how to use writing strategy of panning out to larger implications near the end of my presentation essay. I say “The amount of opportunities that people miss by closing themselves off, refusing to watch his videos around these dogmatic or skeptic beliefs before giving Pyro a chance to even hear him talk or clicking the video, proves that they have not yet acquired the rhetoric of assent. The rhetoric of assent is a powerful tool and that any individual can learn but most people cannot acquire this tool and practice this throughout their everyday life” (Wills 8). Gathering all the information that I have learned about Booth’s definition of rhetoric and the aspect around YouTube, I can conjure this claim about people who do not want to listen to Pyro. It is the individual that needs to change their perspective on how they view others outside of their discourses. Everyone should be given the chance to be listened to equality no matter what the subject pertains to. Not everyone can acquire the rhetoric of assent as there are people in the world with strict beliefs depending on their blind assent. Again, only the individual can change themselves to be willing to listen and obtain value out of the new ideas outside of their discourse. I also say in the conclusion that “YouTube may be an imaginary community, but the real life implications people take from the conversations from video games is beneficial to the future of acquisition of online communication” (Wills 8). There is more to video games than meets the eye at first glance, as it builds a community of gamers that openly communicate on what they love to talk about their favorite game. It brings people together to further online communication through skype, Facebook, twitter and many more social Medias who want to become as large as the YouTube community is today. Even though people may not meet face to face, the interaction through the game can provide an even greater experience then real life communication. Every year, games are gaining new software to improve online interactions between players and more communities are built as more games are developed to talk and share all these interesting topics through the games Pyro plays.
